Oshodi/Isolo Special Worship Service at 'The Blind Center'

The Oshodi/Isolo region recently had their Sunday worship service at the Nigeria Society for the Blind Rehabilitation Centre at Oshodi, popularly called 'The
Blind Centre'.
The service, which was held at the conference hall of the Center's library, had disciples from the Oshodi/Isolo region in attendance. Also, Elders
Imagbe Igbinoba and Phil Osagie along with Dr. Chika Nwosu of HOPE Worldwide Nigeria, seized the oportunity to worship with the students.
Most of the students came all the way from their hostels to
the hall with guide sticks. We had a great
time just meeting with the visually impaired there, both
male and female.

The service proper started with some thoughts on the Communion and a
disciple, Michael, who is visually impaired, in his speech encouraged and motivated the other students to always believe in the power of our God. The collection for the poor for that day as well as some items which included clothes, toiletries, bag of rice, and beverages were presented to the students.
After the service, it was an opportunity to get to know the students personally, collecting
phone numbers and listening to their needs and encouraging them
to have faith in God.
It was really fulfilling to see the students happy and
appreciative as no church worship service had ever been held intheir school before.
It was interesting and made one appreciate the awesome power of God, how people who are handicapped can
worship God in their own special way.
The service was a great success and we give God the glory
for making it possible for us to have fellowship with the students in of 'The Blind Center'.
