MISSION 2010

NIGERIA TO PLANT FOUR NEW CHURCHES IN THE STATE CAPITALS

Is. 52: 7 – How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who brings good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘’Your God reigns!’’

In accordance with the resolutions of the International Leadership Group to tag 2010 as the year of Missions, Nigeria has emerged with four new mission fields to be planted in 2010.
The new mission fields which are Nigerian State Capitals include:

Uyo, Akwa Ibom State,
Yenegoa in Balyesa State,
Abeokuta in Ogun State and
Jos in Plateau State.

Inaugural Services

The Mission Program for the year will kick off with an inaugural service on 28th March, 2010 in Uyo and will be led by Mr Wasiu Ajao who is leading the Churches in the South South Zone of Nigeria.  Mr Wale Oni who leads the Churches in the South East Zone will lead the Mission Team to Yenegoa for its inaugural service fixed for 25th April.

The second phase of the Program will take off with its inaugural service on 30th May when the West Zone of the country will witness the planting of a new Church in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital with Mr Bayo Ajadi leading the team.  The last team for 2010 Missions will have its inaugural service in Jos, the capital of Plateau State on 27th June 2010  as Mr Okechukwu Emeka leads his Northern Zone team to do ‘battle’ for the souls of men and women in that region.

National Evangelist Leadership Group

For this purpose, a National Evangelist Leadership Group has been formed to ensure an effective implementation of the Mission Plan.  The Group will run all levels of orientations for the Team Leaders and Volunteers.
The Team Leaders are already receiving a 2-month Hands-on orientation and are expected to move to their various Sites a month before each Inaugural Service to do evangelism and general preparations.

Mission Orientations

Volunteers who have started registering for the Mission program will commence orientations at the different Zonal Headquarters  one month before the send forth date in Warri, Delta State for Uyo Mission field; Port Harcourt, River State for Yenegoa field; Ibadan, Oyo State for Abeokuta Church and Abuja the Federal Capital for Jos Church.

All Volunteers will be on ground one month before the Inaugural Service dates.
Volunteers who may wish to stay on the field between three and six months will be regarded as the Original Team while others who may wish to stay for shorter terms will be recognized and welcome to their chosen fields of choice.

Registration of Volunteers

Volunteers in Nigeria and overseas are invited to register their names for any of the Mission fields either with the Team Leaders at the Zonal Headquarters or with the Missions Lead Evangelist as soon as possible.
