David's Amazing Exploits on Campus!

David

David, the only disciple on campus at the Benue State University, Markurdi, was baptised earlier this year in the Abuja Church shortly before leaving for school. He realised how much of a task he had since he was the only disciple in his campus. And so, on the 7th of June, 2008, he invited seven disciples from Abuja to organise a bible discussion and to help him evangelise.

The plan was for us to get to the campus as early as 11:30 am, hook up with David and three of his friends who were studying the bible at the time, evangelise the Male Hostels and start a bible discussion. But God had made a much better plan - we hit the campus at 12:30pm and by 1pm, we went to the hostel and invited people to the bible talk which was to take place immediately.

And to God’s glory, David beat us to it! He didn’t wait for us to come, so along with his 3 friends, they brought 43 other people for the bible discussion! It was amazing the depth of knowledge the students had about the bible and so we did what we could and God handled the rest.

After the bible talk we arranged group studies for all who were in attendance and got the personal contacts of over 32 people who indicated their interests for further studies.

It can be said that the students of the Benue State University were receptive to our message and we thank God for his favours and earnestly seek the prayers of our brothers and sisters all over the Movement for us and for David.

David, who was invited to Church on the wedding day of his ex-girlfriend in the Abuja Church, was so happy and said he really did not believe it could have happened this way and all praises was given to God.

We plan to go back in a month's time and I just can’t wait. So whatever you do whereever you are, keep the gospel going...and remember David in your prayer (remember Matthew 28 – 19:20.)
