ASABA

The City of Asaba, the capital of oil rich Delta State of Nigeria is strategically located on a hill at the western edge of the majestic River Niger. The historic River Niger is a trans-African link beginning from East Africa and down into the Atlantic Ocean. Asaba forms a connector between western, eastern and northern Nigeria through the River Niger from the north and via the Asaba Niger Bridge, an east west link and a Nigeria landmark. Asaba lies approximately 6 degrees north of the equator and about the same distance east of the meridian; about 100 miles north of where the River Niger flows into the Atlantic Ocean...Click here

The Gospel is Bearing Fruits! - Col 1:3-6

John Awele Chukwudi

Not only was the Apostle Paul thanking God for the faith of the Colossian church in the above quoted scripture he was also acknowledging the gospel bearing fruits in their lives as it is all over the world. This scripture came to mind when I remember the event of April 5th 2009. On that day, a soul was added to the Asaba Teens ministry. John Awele Chukwudi entered church history as the first teen to be baptised in Asaba! The baptism is also significant because he was among those teenagers who graced the occasion of the launch of the Teens Ministry tagged Teens 4 Christ in August 2008. Some other teenagers are studying the bible and we NEED all your prayers as we eagerly expect them to join Awele John Chukwudi as Teens 4 Christ!

Launches Teens Ministry …Tagged ‘Teens 4 Christ’

Teenagers at the 'Teens 4 Christ' launch in the Asaba Church

On the 23rd August, 2008 the Asaba Church launched their Teens Ministry. The event tagged ‘Teens 4 Christ’ had classes targeted to meet the immediate needs of the teens in the church. Some of the classes include ‘Teenagers and the Nigeria Factor’ and ‘Unveiling of a New Dawn’ where the teens were challenged that being teens 4 Christ will usher in a new dawn in their lives. This was followed by comments, questions and answers session.

It’s our hope in the Asaba church that God will open the door of baptisms for us through this inspiring ministry. We NEED your prayers and your input will be highly welcomed as well.
